Chance for future

Chance for future

About 25,000 preschool children live in Roma settlements in Slovakia. They have no chance for the future and that’s why we want to give some of them an opportunity, by devoting our time, providing education and leading them to Christ.

We try to create physically, spiritually and emotionally good conditions and create an environment where giving precedes receiving. An environment where love is not a prize to be won, but a gift to be accepted. We believe that learning opens the eyes of the mind.

Every child learns new things and important lessons that will allow him to thrive in the long run. They learn simply, because it comes naturally to children.

Our programs have a direct impact on children, who regardless of social predisposition and place of birth have hope for the future. We believe in educating a new generation that will positively change their communities, reaching them by the gospel of Christ.

“The mistakes of the first upbringing accompany us throughout life, therefore, the foremost guard of the human race is in the cradle.”                                                                                                                                            – John Amos Comenius

The Salvation Army

„The Salvation Army as an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible.  Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to meet human needs in His name  without discrimination.

The objects of the Salvation Army are to promote the gospel, – particularly the call to repentance contained in it – by word and deed at every appropriate place and time and by all appropriate means, in encounters with fellow human beings, attending to their social needs and requirements and endeavouring to meet them.

This includes  the promotion of education, combating poverty and other good causes for the benefit of the community or society as a whole. The objects may be achieved either through the organization itself or through other entities, acknowledging that the achievement of a true society, in accordance with God’s plan, depends on everyone’s conversion and obedience to Jesus Christ.”
